Wazdan gains retro recognition nomination at CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards
Wazdan, the innovative games provider, has been shortlisted at the inaugural CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards in the Game Retro-Style category for its hit title Telly Reels TM.
The new awards are part of the wider CasinoBeats Summit, hosted in Malta on 14th-15th July, and aim to recognise the best in the business in the key elements of game development, including sound, artwork, theme and more.
Bringing a classic 80s TV dinner experience to the slot world, Telly Reels TM offers players small screen nostalgia in search of wins. Set inside an old school TV, Telly ReelsTM also boasts a neat side panel that fills up with stars and rewards players with Telly Bonus Spins, while arranging five sliders on the panel in a line also activates a Mini Telly Bonus. On top of this, there is a Free Spins round with a colourful Wheel of Fortune that provides a wide range of wins, including additional Free Spins, Multipliers, Random Wilds, and Infinite Multiplier when it is triggered by three Scatters. Despite the retro feel, the game is designed to be mobile-first, showcasing Wazdan’s ability to marry a classic theme with modern technology.
This nomination follows a number of milestones for Wazdan, including the awarding of its New Jersey Transactional Waiver and its entry into Denmark for the first time.
Andrzej Hyla, Chief Commercial Officer at Wazdan, said: “We’re extremely proud to be nominated for the Game Retro-Style category at the upcoming CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards.
“The work that goes into creating each and every game is clear and we’re very pleased that the hard work is being recognised by the wider industry. Fingers crossed on the night and congrats to all nominated.”
