KKCG Appoints Pavel Turek as Chief Officer of CSR and Global Brand
KKCG Group has appointed Pavel Turek as its Chief Officer of CSR and Brand. In his new role, Turek will work for both KKCG and its Sazka Group lottery brand.
“My main goal will be to create a concept where global and local brands coexist. I will also assist in the creation of the company’s corporate social responsibility. I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to work in Karel Komárek’s ambitious team,” Turek said.
Turek joins KKCG from the world of motorsport, where he worked for 25 years, and it’s this expertise that his new employers hope he can bring to the table in this new role.
Between 1997 and 2003, the Czech native managed the commercial relationship between West and McLaren, spending 17 seasons in Formula 1 and participating in more than 250 Grand Prix in total.
During this time, Turek worked closely with drivers like Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard, and Kimi Räikkönen, and led several major marketing initiatives, including the two-person Formula 1 car drive, and Coulthard’s zero-gravity ride.
Among his other accolades, from 2013 to 2018, Turek served as Commercial Director of the Red Bull Air Race, became the Marketing Director at SailGP in 2018, a new international sailing competition, and has been the CEO of Automobilist from 2019.
Karel Komárek, Founder of the KKCG investment group, said: “I know Pavel as a creative and experienced manager. I believe that thanks to his knowledge in the field of sport, he can bring new ideas to our group which will advance the public perception of our brands.
“To do this, we will not only rely on marketing, but also our projects in the field of corporate social responsibility. We are placing greater emphasis on these types of projects in all countries in which we operate.”
