Global Esports Federation Confirms Appointment of New Vice President and Board Member
The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has confirmed the appointment of a new Vice President and Board member to the GEF Board, effective December 1, 2021.
The GEF Executive Committee unanimously approved the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud as Vice-President, joining five other Vice Presidents currently in office. In addition to being a GEF Vice President, HRH Prince Faisal is the President of Saudi Esports Federation and Arab Esports Federation and continues to serve as Chair of the GEF Education, Culture, Youth Commission.
The GEF Board has also approved the appointment of veteran strategist, Hala Ghandour, as member of the GEF Board, on top of her current engagement as member of the GEF Education, Culture, Youth Commission. Her appointment as Board member boosts the representation of women in the GEF leadership towards 40%, from 11% during its launch less than two years ago. The GEF Board is represented by a global community of leaders from across Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, as well as the MENA and Oceania regions.
