Next Celebrity GETTR convert? Farage and the Dogefather gain traction with political bettors

Podcast king Joe Rogan’s decision to join GETTR last week saw interest in the “cancel-free” alternative to Twitter soar to an all-time high. Almost a million new users joined Trump sidekick Jason Miller’s social media network since Rogan opened his account last Sunday.
Speculation since has centred on which conservative star would announce they’d joined up – and internet betting platform Cloudbet has seen huge interest in its “Next on GETTR” market.
“We’ve been seeing positive market moves for Nigel Farage, Elon Musk and drag sensation Lady MAGA. We’re calling it “The Big Tech Exodus, in tribute to what GETTR says they represent – a protest against Big Social Media and the establishment” said Cloudbet Senior Trading Manager, Steve Hennessy.
GETTR said this weekend it has 2.2 million users in the US, followed by 500,000 in Brazil, as well as a significant user base in the UK.
Nigel Farage was due to be a speaker at the GETTR-backed Counter Conference in London before Christmas so political pundits are betting he’s just biding his time until he signs up – he’s been backed down to 12-1 this weekend to be the next big name to announce.
