Paddy Power to increase digital betting shop displays in 2022

Digital age beckons for Paddy Power punters thanks to expanded BoscaSports deal
Digital betting shop displays are becoming commonplace in shops across the UK and Ireland thanks to digital platform provider BoscaSports.
The Dublin-based business’s cutting-edge digital displays will be in more than 40 Flutter owned Paddy Power betting shops in UK and Ireland by the end of 2022.
This BoscaSports service is transforming the LBO and Tote marketplaces with best-in-class technology and real time content that engages customers, with the BoscaSports platform already delivering 5,000+ Tote screens at 84 of the UK & Irelands 86 racecourses.
The retail landscape is emerging from a challenging two years where Covid impacted greatly on customers’ access to shops, with many turning to online platforms to place their bets. Those customers are returning to shops more digitally savvy than before and are increasingly open to new digital experiences in retail.
The 4k in-shop displays feature up-to-the-second live information and Paddy Power pricing on all key sporting events throughout the day, keeping the retail display space live and relevant at all times.
Speaking about the deployment plans, BoscaSports’ Founder & Product Director, Fergal Downey, said: “We’re delighted to be undertaking such a significant further deployment with Paddy Power. They have always led the market in innovation, and this is another example of that. We are looking forward to further developing our product offering with such a forward-thinking operator.â€
Simon Charnock, Director of Product at Flutter UK&I, added, “We will be introducing BoscaSport’s digital offering in some new shops and those that are being refitted or retro fitted throughout the year. The shops, which include Manchester’s Piccadilly Plaza, Leeds City Centre and Hammersmith will feature a mix of BoscaSport’s upgraded passive screens and new interactive screens.â€
Ben Dowding, Director of Betting at Racecourse Media Group and Director of BoscaSports, added, “Digital betting shop display is just one of the key areas of collaboration RMG are working with Flutter on as part of a long-term strategic agreement announced in late 2021. We are delighted to see the further rollout of BoscaSport’s product in Paddy Power shops throughout 2022, including the deployment of Bosca’s new interactive product.â€
The Paddy Power shops will be amongst the first to feature BoscaSports Interactive, a touchscreen solution that offers retail customers access to digital tools previously only available online. Along with the core racing information, it gives access to tools segmented by price, stats, markets, tipsters, and visualised form.
