WPT Global Announces Latest Poker Players and Celebrity Additions to its “Poker Heroes NFT Club” Collection
WPT Global has announced the latest poker players and celebrity additions to its “Poker Heroes NFT Club” collection.
Developed by web 3.0 innovation studio GAMAVRS, the Poker Heroes NFT Club forms part of WPT Global’s launch as the new online poker platform of the World Poker Tour (WPT), operating in over 85 countries.
NFT rewards and experiences have been placed at the forefront of WPT Global’s launch to engage with poker’s next generation of fans.
The Poker Heroes NFT Club is led by Superstar DJ Steve Aoki, who is joined by poker icon Phil Ivey – recognised as the modern game’s greatest player – online poker sensation Tom Dwan.
Further poker personalities joining the NFT club include – Patrik Antonius, Andrew “LuckyChewy” Lichtenberger, Brad Owen, Joseph Cheong, Johnny “Vibes” Moreno, Maria Konnikova, Lynn Gilmartin, Maria Ho, Vince Van Patten, Matt Savage, Joe “Daddy” Stevenson and Adam Owen.
Fans’ collecting Poker Heroes NFTs will be rewarded with special benefits within the WPT Platform, such as unique benefits of exclusive entry into $100,000 + of freeroll tournaments, tutoring by WPT Global ambassadors and participation in million-dollar giveaways.
Furthermore, NFT collectors will receive full access to a Discord members-only channel with access to LearnWPT content and entry to exclusive VIP events during WPT Live Events.
“Our avatars are built with 100% utility in mind and will act as Access NFTs. Think of them as verified NFT profiles on the WPT Global app that come with valuable perks and access,” Meysam Moradpour, General Manager at Gamavrs, said.
“Players will immediately know if they are playing against the real Steve Aoki, based on his NFT profile, which has a different shape and size than common profiles inside the WPT Global platform.”
