Fredrik Johansson returns as Fantasma Games CEO
Studio’s founder takes over the reins once more with the backing of its largest shareholder as the provider targets significant growth in the coming months
Fredrik Johansson, the Founder and current Chief Commercial Officer of game developer Fantasma Games, has returned to the role of CEO as the studio targets significant growth in the coming months.
Johansson returns to the top job with the backing of the developer’s largest shareholders who believe he is the best person to guide the studio into new markets, sign partnerships with more operators and oversee its busy game roadmap and production line.
As CEO, Johansson will be responsible for the day to day running of Fantasma Games and will also lead the senior management team. He will set the overall direction and strategy the studio takes to development with its ethos of creating slots beyond gambling.
It comes at an exciting time for the studio, which continues to create and launch narrative-driven slots that deliver a superior player experience.
Fantasma also recently made its debut in the US market where it has gone live exclusively with tier one operator BetMGM in Michigan and West Virginia via distribution partner Light and Wonder with additional state and operator launches to follow.
Fredrik Johansson, Chief Executive Officer at Fantasma Games, said: “I am thrilled to return to the role of CEO of Fantasma Games and to have the support and trust of our largest shareholders when it comes to taking the studio into its next chapter.
“We have already achieved a great deal in a short space of time, and having just reported a record first quarter we have tremendous momentum behind us. It is an honour to be leading such an incredible team of people as we continue to strive to create the most entertaining slots in the market.”
