Thomas Rössig, Senior Gaming Executive Appointed as Head of Europe
iCandy Interactive Limited (“iCandy ” or the “Company”), is pleased to announce that it
has appointed Thomas Rössig as the Head of Europe. Thomas will be responsible for
managing and providing strategic direction for the iCandy team in Europe, while
continuing to serve as Flying Sheep Studios’ Managing Director.
Thomas has more than 12 years of experience in the video games industry, and most
recently founded Flying Sheep Studios in 2014 with a vision to revolutionise the
gaming experience for desktop and mobile devices. With a committed team of
software engineers, Thomas has built the studio’s in-house HTML5 developer
capabilities for cross-platform and accessible video games. Flying Sheep Studios has
since successfully delivered over 200 cross-platform games to world-renowned
clients, including DreamWorks Animation and Lego Group.
Earlier in June, Flying Sheep Studios was acquired by iCandy, marking iCandy’s
expansion into Europe and solidifying its ambition to become a global gaming
powerhouse.
“Thomas brings over a decade of leadership experience in the industry to iCandy’s
growing team of gaming professionals. He will play a critical role in accelerating the
company’s growth in the European market,” said Kin Wai Lau, Chairman of iCandy
Interactive. “Thomas’ success in leading Flying Sheep Studio’s business development
with consistent results makes him an excellent candidate for iCandy’s ambitious
goals in Europe. We look forward to working with him and driving greater
improvement for the team.”
“I am thrilled to be part of iCandy’s incredible vision that prioritises innovative game
practices and thrilling gaming experiences for the masses”, said Thomas Rössig. “I
look forward to leading iCandy’s dedicated team in Europe in this exciting time of
growth and innovation for the gaming industry.”
Besides founding Flying Sheep Studios, Thomas founded and served as the Managing
Director for coworking space provider Cologne Game Haus, where he was
responsible for business development and corporate branding.
