IESF Concludes Inaugural SimRacing World Cup in Monaco

The International Esports Federation (IESF), in collaboration with the Monaco Esports Federation (MESF), hosted the first edition of the SimRacing World Cup on October 23, 2022, at Louis-II Stadium which featured 12 teams competing for a total prize pool of €4000.
Following an exciting round of qualifiers between 41 countries and 80 drivers, the top 12 teams secured their spots for the World Cup. Ivory Coast, New Zealand, Hungary, Slovenia, Thailand, India, Argentina, Algeria, Slovakia, Colombia, Monaco, and Spain competed in the final, with Slovenia’s Jernej Simoncic winning the gold medal. Spain took second place, followed by Hungary, Thailand, and Slovakia.
IESF continues to unite the World Esports Family with 6182 views combined on the French and English streams on the Monaco Sim Racing World Championship’s Twitch channel. IESF’s rich and consistent history of hosting successful esports events provides athletes with the ultimate environment to perform at their full potential and brings together all esports stakeholders to achieve a united ecosystem for the proper development of gaming worldwide.

Monaco Esports Federation President Louis Ducruet said: “I am very happy and honored to have been able to host the first edition in the history of the SIM Racing World Cup in the Principality of Monaco. I hope that everyone enjoyed their time in Monaco and that we will see even more people at the next edition.”
IESF will wrap up an exciting year of events with the World Esports Championships Finals in Bali, Indonesia, from December 1 to 12. A record number of 120 nations are set to compete, making it the most geographically diverse installment of the event to date, with a total prize pool of $500,000.
