Hacksaw Gaming Slot ‘R.I.P. City’ Wins January’s ‘Slot of the Month’ Award
R.I.P. City, an online slot developed by leading iGaming provider Hacksaw Gaming, has been awarded the title of ‘Slot of the Month – Most Watched New Slot of the Month’ for January 2023 by industry portal GamblingNews.
The award celebrates the industry’s best performing games based on a combination of player reception and streaming data powered Casinolytics – a “data science company that uses machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to power the world’s only Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for measuring the performance of influencers, casino games, and game providers.”
Hacksaw Gaming CCO, Gabrielle Star, was on hand to accept the award from Pras Sri of GamblingNews at the Hippodrome Casino in London recently, adding to a string of previous accolades for the fast-growing company.
In 2019, Hacksaw Gaming emerged victorious at the MiGEA Awards ‘Best Rising Star in Gaming’ category, before more recently scooping the 2022 Casino Beats Game Developer Awards ‘SlotCatalog’s Outperforming Game Studio of the Year’ trophy.
Creator of fan favourites like Wanted Dead or a Wild and Chaos Crew, Hacksaw Gaming has enjoyed a meteoric ascent since launching in 2019, with the supplier’s games available in more than 20 regulated markets.
R.I.P. City became an instant fan favourite upon its release on January 5, 2023, revitalising an age-old theme with up-to-date mechanics and quirky animations, plus a maximum win worth 12,500 times the bet.
The game stars a pair of furry foes in Ro$$ the Cat and Maxx the Mouse, both intent on stirring up slapstick fun on the reels. Each gets their own bonus game. The Ro$$ feature sees Wild Cat symbols expand over entire reels with added multipliers in play, while Wild Cats are guaranteed to land on activated reels with every spin in the Maxx bonus round.
Commenting on the award, Gabrielle Star said: “We’re thrilled that one of our hottest new creations has been honoured with the Slot of the Month award from GamblingNews. It’s clear the iGaming community loves R.I.P. City as much as we do.
“The game gives a timeless theme a modern makeover in our own unique way, enhanced with expanding reel action that we know our players crave. It’s already proved a winning formula with scores of players despite only being released two months ago.
“We’re always looking to innovate, and have some super exciting games in the pipeline that are sure to wow casino fans everywhere.”
Head of Partnerships at GamblingNews, Pras Sri, added: “It’s great to see Hacksaw Gaming getting recognition for R.I.P. City as the game has been showing a very strong performance in the live streaming scene since its release. We can see through our collaboration with Casinolytics, the data shows us that R.I.P. City continues to go from strength to strength as it is now one of the most watched streams in February also.”
