Yggdrasil cranks up the fear factor in new title Devour the Weak
Yggdrasil, the leading publisher accelerating iGaming innovation, has unleashed chaos and horror in its hellish new release, Devour the Weak.
The 5-reel, 243 payline slot introduces a new avalanche mechanic that sees all winning symbols destroyed, along with any icons of equal or lesser value, meaning new ones can come into play to create new wins. The mechanic adds another level of excitement by allowing players to form multiple winning combinations.
Every symbol in Devour the Weak has its very own hexed version and whenever one of these is destroyed following a winning spin, a wild will appear in its place. Destroying six hexed symbols in one avalanche will automatically award players with 10 free spins.
During free spins, an increasing win multiplier starting at x6 kicks in that can reach a maximum of x666 following multiple winning avalanches. Should any hexed symbols land in the middle three reels, they will automatically turn into wilds leading to wins as high as 10,000x the player’s stake.
Those wanting to up the ante can activate Golden Bet, giving them an additional one of the six hexed symbols needed to trigger the free spins for 1.5x their normal bet. The bonus can be triggered via a Bonus Buy for 100x the bet for free spins with a 7x multiplier or x666 the bet for a x33 multiplier.
Stuart McCarthy, Head of Product & Programs at Yggdrasil, said: “This exciting new slot isn’t for the faint of heart, with a great theme featuring demonic characters that are beautifully crafted for an immersive experience.
“We can’t wait to see players devour low paying symbols and start racking up impressive wins via hexed icons, win multipliers and free spins.”
