Michal Kowal Joins Homa as Director of Publishing

Homa, a leading mobile game publishing company, has appointed Michal Kowal (pictured), former Chief Operating Officer for the publicly-listed company Boombit, as its new Director of Publishing. This addition to the team represents a significant milestone in Homa’s strategy to strengthen its publishing approach on both hyper and hybridcasual and continue to launch games that meet market demands and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Michal brings over twelve years of experience in the gaming industry, having spent the last eight years at BoomBit. During his time there, he advanced to the executive team as the Chief Operating Officer, focusing on building up the company’s mid-core and hybridcasual areas while overseeing the operations, business development and process and marketing strategy. He played a key role in scaling up overall business profitability, particularly with the game Hunt Royale, which amassed more than 6.5 million downloads and generated $22 million in revenue. Michal also contributed to the organizational structure of the company and was instrumental in working on long-term predictive UA and analysis tools.
At Homa, Michal will play a key role in driving the company’s ambitious strategy of launching new successful hypercasual and hybridcasual titles. Only five years since its inception, Homa has published more than 80 games, proving a strong track record with various chart-topping hits. Today Homa supports hundreds of developers globally and the company has plans to double down on this approach while building out an even stronger studio ecosystem with a lasting portfolio of games.
“Michal is a very hands-on, knowledgeable and passionate leader of our industry,†the co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer for Homa, Olivier Le Bas, said. “We are thrilled to have him onboard to accelerate our publishing strategy and launch even more games on the market.â€
“I am thrilled to join Homa, a pioneering force in the mobile gaming industry,†Kowal said. “I deeply admire the impressive portfolio of hypercasual and hybridcasual games it has built in such a short time. I can combine my experience with casual and mid-core games with Homa’s unique technology solutions for game creators to help Homa reinforce its leadership position in the gaming industry.â€
With Michal’s appointment, Homa demonstrates its commitment to hiring top talent to drive growth, innovation and disruption in the mobile gaming industry. For those interested, Homa has open positions available on its website.
