United Kingdom set to host its first BLAST R6 Major with world’s best Rainbow Six esports players to compete in Manchester in May
Today, Ubisoft and BLAST have released details for the first BLAST R6 Major of Season 2024, which is due to take place in Manchester, United Kingdom from May 16 to May 26.
The United Kingdom will host its first ever Rainbow Six Major with Manchester’s B.E.C Arena set to welcome 20 of the world’s best teams over two weeks in May. The BLAST R6 Major Manchester will feature a three phase format with the final weekend playing out in front of a live audience with thousands of fans expected to pack out the B.E.C Arena.

Phase 1: May 16 to May 17 – not open to public
Phase 2: May 19 to May 22 – not open to public
Phase 3: May 24 to May 26 – open to the public at the B.E.C Arena, Manchester

With Season 2024 set to get underway in the coming months, teams across the 9 different regions of BLAST R6 will be looking to become one of the 20 teams to qualify for the Manchester Major. They will compete for a lion’s share of the USD $750,000 prize pool, as well as points to qualify for the Six Invitational 2025.
The United Kingdom has been a core region for Rainbow Six Siege esports with the scene home to a number of successful players and teams, including Wolves Esports, MNM Esports and Fnatic and well-known players such as Jack “Doki” Robertson, Byron “Blurr” Murray and Leon “LeonGids” Giddens. The BLAST Rainbow Six Major Manchester will provide an opportunity for these teams and players to shine on home soil.
