Three Giant, Golden Darts Land in Cardiff to Celebrate the Start of the 2024 BetMGM Premier League

To celebrate the start of the 2024 BetMGM Premier League, BetMGM UK has landed three giant, golden darts in different spots around Cardiff city centre – which is hosting the first night of the tournament this evening. The darts will appear in three locations – on Churchill Way near to the Utilita Arena, next to the Alliance sculpture and at the Wales Millennium Centre below the iconic Celtic lettering.
Following the success of the recent PDC World Championships, BetMGM is taking darts into its new golden era through its headline sponsorship of the PDC Premier League. With the 12-foot darts crashing into Cardiff to show that the darts have landed, this year’s event promises to elevate the darts experience, offering fans an unparalleled level of entertainment.
Tonight’s opening fixture showcases a re-match of the World Championships Final as Luke Humphries takes on Luke Littler once again, as well as local hero Gerwyn Price facing Nathan Aspinall, Michael Van Gerwen playing against Michael Smith and Peter Wright taking on Rob Cross in a mouth-watering quarter-final line-up sure to wow the Cardiff crowds.
Sam Behar, UK Director at BetMGM UK, said: “The BetMGM Premier League marks a new golden era for darts, and we’re thrilled to bring this excitement to Cardiff in such a spectacular way. Tonight’s opening matchday is set to be a remarkable kick-off to what promises to be a season of unparalleled drama and entertainment.”
BetMGM is offering 10 lucky fans the chance to win general admission tickets to the opening night in Cardiff. To enter, fans simply need to snap a photo with one of the darts and share on their Facebook or X profile, ensuring they follow BetMGM UK and use the #BetMGMDarts hashtag.
