Jordi Sendra has been appointed CEO of Alea, as Alex Tomic steps into a non-executive role
Alex Tomic, founder of Alea, has stepped down from his role as CEO of one of the industry’s leading aggregator platforms, and has appointed former COO Jordi Sendra to replace him.
Over the last few years, Alea has become a global entity and has become particularly strong in markets such as LatAm, Africa and Asia. Therefore, Tomic will now assume a non-executive role, which will see him focus more on the overall strategy of the business in these and other emerging markets. It will also allow him more time to maintain his industry commitments outside of Alea as Tomic’s profile as a leader within the iGaming community continues to grow.
As part of the C-Level changes, Ramon Glieneke has been appointed to COO, where he will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and where he can leverage his vast experience in aggregation within other industries.
Commenting on his appointment Jordi Sendra said, “I’ve been at Alea for the last three years and during this time, I’ve seen the business evolve into one of the most exciting aggregator platforms in our industry.
“I’m delighted that Alex and the team have put their trust in me to lead this company forward and I’m also very excited to welcome Ramon to the team.
“We are always looking for new and incredibly talented people from outside of the iGaming industry to join us on this journey. Ramon’s API aggregation experience gained from working within the travel sector will provide us with a whole new level of knowledge and perspective and will help to ensure our success moving forward.”
Commenting on his appointment as COO, Ramon Glieneke said, “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to bring my vast experience to the iGaming industry.
“Alea is one of the fastest growing company’s in this space and I’m thrilled to be given the position of COO and look forward to supporting Jordi as we go from strength-to-strength.’
