The idea behind Legit.Casino – a story about legitimacy

Hello, Mr Stoychev. Thank you for agreeing to ask you a few questions about your Legit.Casino project. Could you tell us in a few sentences what is the main idea behind the project and what is its goal?

Thank you for the invitation. The idea behind LEGIT CASINO is not new and has been brewing in me for a few years. My life has been closely connected with gambling since I was an adult and I dare to say that I have experience in betting. Even as a student, I started betting and learning all types of bets and games. Times were dynamic. There was no gambling law passed in my country and there were hundreds of sites that accepted bets without a problem.

Over the years I have been scammed many times by casinos and bookies and had my money confiscated. Times were different and most casinos were unlicensed and there was no authority to complain to. This made me very angry but my hands were tied and there was nothing I could do. Eventually I set up a website to play free casino games and advertised all sorts of casinos (unlicensed included). Unfortunately, even as an affiliate of these casinos I was scammed a few times and then came the idea for Legit.Casino.

I decided to create a platform that would be really open and honest. No exceptions! I noticed that even sites like Casino.Guru and AskGamblers give unrealistically high ratings to sites that don’t deserve it. I have no idea what the reason is and I don’t want to know. This makes me hopeful, because since they have a problem with rating, I can create a more perfect way to rate and be more honest with players. I started Legit.Casino and created the LegitoMeter, which is a meter that measures several important factors that determine the legitimacy of a casino.

How will your honest ratings and reviews help casino players?

For a casino player it is extremely important to come across a legitimate casino. There are many reasons for this, but one of the most important is that a player can opt out if they wish through the so-called Self Exclusion Rule. If the casino is illegitimate it will not have this option at all.
