iCasino Secures Dutch Online Casino License
Dutch online gambling operator iCasino has secured a licence from the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Netherlands’ gaming authority, making it the 29th legal operator in the country CasinoScout reports. The launch date for the new gambling site is still under wraps, with the website currently displaying a “Webpage Under Construction” placeholder.
iCasino BV, headquartered in the southern city of Maastricht, holds the new licence. At the helm of iCasino is Paul Strikers, a Dutch industry veteran who previously served as CEO of Novomatic Netherlands for seven years. Strikers has been with iCasino since July 2022, and after nearly two years, the company finally obtained its licence. Strikers refers to this process as a period of “diligent effort”.
To celebrate its new status as a licensed operator, iCasino released a video featuring the popular Random Runner Hold & Run game from Greentube, a fan favourite in the Netherlands. iCasino will be powered by the BRAGG Gaming platform, a well-known player in the Dutch iGaming market with other brands exploited by JOI Gaming, Smart Gaming BV and Betent BV.
A similar offering is therefore expected from iCasino, including slots from providers such as Greentube, NetEnt, Red Tiger, and Play ‘N Go, as well as a live casino featuring games from Evolution.
In April 2024, the Gaming Authority announced three pending licence applications. The first licence was granted to Scori PRO on April 27, 2024, with the Fantasy Sports betting platform live since May 13. iCasino is the second provider to receive a licence this year, with the third applicant yet to be revealed. The Dutch iGaming landscape offers opportunities to both domestic and international operators to launch their gambling products.
