Everything you need to know ahead of the Esports Awards Riyadh Ceremony 2024
The Esports Awards, the most prestigious night in the esports calendar, is excited to announce the talent, VIPs, and everything else you need to know ahead of the Riyadh ceremony this Saturday, August 24th.
This weekend, the Esports Awards will roll out the red carpet as the industry’s elite descend on Riyadh. With high-profile names in attendance including YouTube content creator Bander “BenderitaX” Madkhali, Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 veteran Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, and British-South African YouTuber and investor Casper Lee, viewers can expect a lavish ceremony on a larger scale than ever before.
The Esports Awards will be hosted by legendary Call of Duty player and President for OpTic Texas, Hector “Hecz” Rodriguez, esports castor and internet personality, Chris Puckett, and pro Call of Duty player and content creator, Seth “Scump” Abner. Joining them are Elyse “Herculyse” Herrera, Daniel “dGon” Gonzalez, Mira “Ephey” Riad, Oliver “OJ Borg” James Borg D’Anastasi, Jessica “JessGOAT” Bolden, and Britanni Johnson across the red carpet, pre-show, and post-show live streams.
Fans are in for an unforgettable experience as their favourite players, brands, and creators take centre stage at the awards ceremony, celebrating excellence across fifteen prestigious categories. Fan favourite categories like Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year, Streamer of the Year, and Esports Publisher of the Year will be awarded. Notable nominees include Samantha “Rivers” Treviño, Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, and Team Vitality, the Riyadh ceremony promises to deliver memorable moments that will resonate throughout the night.
Following a strategic partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), the Esports Awards Riyadh ceremony will take place the day before the Esports World Cup closing ceremony, where the first-ever Esports World Cup Club Champion will be crowned. Held at BLVD Riyadh City, fans can expect a fully immersive experience, reliving the exhilarating moments of the tournament. The ceremony will not be one to miss, with live performances from music icons like Steve Aoki, Kid Cudi, Rabeh Saqer, and Sevdaliza, all set to light up the stage.
The Esports Awards Riyadh ceremony schedule is as follows:
18:00 CEST – Countdown Show
19:00 CEST – Red Carpet opens
20:30 CEST – Pre-Show begins
21:00 CEST – Main Ceremony begins
The Esports Awards will be streamed live from the Four Seasons Kingdom Centre in Riyadh on August 24th starting at 21:00 CEST across Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch. Additionally, the following global media outlets will broadcast the ceremony: GINX TV, ESTV, Jio, DAZN, Fissure, Huya, Kuaishou, Douyu, Bilibili, AfreecaTV, A Sports, BIGO, and VTVCab.

The World Esports Summit 2024 Is Here!
The IESF World Esports Summit returns this December to Busan, South Korea. Hosted at the Busan Esports Arena (BRENA) from December 5-6, the Summit will bring together prominent figures from Esports, global brands, government officials, and sports executives for a deep dive into the current Esports trends, its rapid transformations, and future challenges.
This year’s theme, “Building Bridges, Not Barriers, Through the Power of Esports,” will highlight the role of Esports in uniting cultures, ideas, and industries. Under the slogan “We Empower Success,” the

WEC24 Complete: Indonesia Crowned Overall Champion!
WEC24 Complete: Indonesia Crowned Overall Champion! Busan, South Korea (November 20, 2024) – After nine days of exciting competition, the 16th World Esports Championship (WEC24) has come to a conclusion.
From epic plays to unforgettable moments, the championship closed out with the Dota 2 and MLBB Women’s finals. The ultimate victory and the biggest moment of the night belonged to Indonesia, as they won their second title as the WEC24 Overall Champions.
This prestigious trophy is awarded to the nation that excels across all of the game titles. Turkey secured one gold and one bronze medal also, however, Indonesia’s consistency and performance across the other game titles gave them the edge to secure their victory. Congratulations to Indonesia for this remarkable achievement!
WEC24 started on November 11 at the spectacular SEF Arena in Riyadh, bringing together athletes from around the world to compete across six tournaments: PUBG MOBILE, CS2 (Women’s and Open), Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Open and Women’s), and Dota 2. Each competition delivered its special charm, giving us new champions and a WEC to remember.
