African Esports Championship 2024 – Closing Ceremony
Yesterday, history was made as the African Esports Championship 2024 concluded in spectacular fashion at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.
AEC24 was a powerful demonstration of the rapid growth and rise of the African Esports scene.
The closing ceremony was a reflection of the event’s success, with a capacity crowd on their feet, celebrating the achievements of Africa’s finest Esports athletes. The evening was filled with exciting
moments, from the intense and deciding final matches to the grand award ceremony where medals were handed out to the champions.
But the night didn’t end there—Casablanca’s arena transformed into a festival of African pride, with Morocco’s top music stars taking the stage, turning the Esports celebration into a night of music, dance, and joy.
We’ve seen incredible displays of unity, sportsmanship, and passion from every participant. We’re grateful beyond words to all the athletes, teams, local hosts, and fans who came together to make this event a reality. You’ve all been part of something extraordinary.
As we look to the future, we’re excited that the journey doesn’t end here. Our newly crowned African champions are set to take their place on the international stage at the World Esports Championship in Riyadh later this year. Africa’s time has come, and we can’t wait to see these teams shine in front of the world.
Thank you, Casablanca, thank you, Africa, for making AEC24 a monumental success. Here’s to many more!
