Red Bull Golden Letters reveals the Full Player and Talent Lineup

Red Bull Golden Letters, the grassroots TEKKEN 8 tournament, is returning for its third year to London’s Red Bull Gaming Sphere for an action-packed weekend across September 28th-29th. Playing for the first time on the latest instalment in the hit fighting game franchise, four aspiring pro players from around the world have secured their spot to compete against 16 of the world’s best TEKKEN talent in the hopes of claiming the title of Red Bull Golden Letters champion.
Completing the the star-studded lineup of global pro players is Mohammed “the-SAM-brother” Al Jabri, EVO 2024 runner up Atif “Atif” Ijaz, Kane “KaneAndTrench” Heartfield and inaugural Red Bull Golden Letters winner Richie “Ayorichie” Olusanya.
Across two electrifying days, Red Bull Golden Letters will put a twist on the traditional TEKKEN format, exchanging the conventional competitive format for impressive matches and unforgettable moments. This unique format tests the core fighting game skills of perfect play and being clutch under pressure in a first-to-three race. By securing “PERFECT” or “GREAT”, TEKKEN’s iconic “Golden Letters”, players are rewarded with automatic wins, challenging them to take big risks in exchange for bigger rewards.

Red Bull Golden Letters is returning for its third year, bringing world’s most elite TEKKEN 8 players together to compete in a truly unique invitational. After brand-new expanded global open qualifiers, four additional pro players have guaranteed their spots to compete against 16 world-class professionals on 28th-29th September 2024.
This year introduces a brand-new 20-player group stage, where players will spend the first day competing for a spot in the 12-player elimination bracket on day two. Across the weekend, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere will be transformed into an immersive golden bank vault, where players will be locked up until a winner emerges victorious.
Ready to test the mettle of these aspiring professionals are 16 invited TEKKEN legends, including Red Bull Player and five-time EVO champion Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique and Red Bull Player Hoa “Anakin” Luu. Joining this lineup of talent are a number of other global pros, including South Korean stars Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon, Kim “JDCR” Hyun-jin and Jae-hyun “CherryBerryMango” Kim.
Inaugural Red Bull Golden Letters champion Richie “Ayorichie” Olusanya also returns to compete for the third year, joined by British TEKKEN pro Hasan “JoKa” Rehman.
Hosting this year’s Red Bull Golden Letters is Jamil “Jammerz” McKenzie, who will be leading the broadcast live from the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. Providing live insight and commentary across the tournament, Steven “Tasty Steve” Scott, Reepal “RIP” Parbhoo, Ryan “Bubsy” Sinclair and Kobi “K-Wiss” Scarlett also join the broadcast as commentators.
Schedule & Format
- Saturday, 28th September: Starting at 11:30 AM GMT, this year’s tournament will see the first of four five-player group stages. The top two players from each of these groups will immediately advance to day two’s winners bracket, and the third place players fighting for their spot in the losers bracket.
- Sunday, 29th September: Starting at 10:30 AM, the Finals will kick off in a high-stakes double elimination format. The top eight winners from day one will compete to keep their spot in the winner’s bracket, while the four hopefuls in the loser’s bracket will need to battle their way back and earn a spot in the Grand Finals.
