BETER reports on significant demand for its eFootball content during major football events
BETER, the in-demand provider of betting content and data, has published a report showing a major change in player preferences towards round-the-clock, fast betting content.
The report, Betting on eFootball during Euro and Copa America 2024, shows a surge in demand for, and engagement with, the provider’s ESportsBattle eFootball product during both tournaments.
During Euro 2024 and Copa America, bettors displayed a heightened interest in its eFootball offering with the number of unique bettors up 11.4%, the number of bets up 12.8% and turnover up 13.4% across all operator partners` platforms, which offer ESportsBattle content.
Demand for eFootball peaked at the conclusion of Euro 2024 and Copa America which took place on 14 July in a “Super Sunday” of football.
In the days following (15 July and 16 July) when no matches were played, BETER recorded the highest levels of engagement with, and turnover from, eFootball.
This followed a similar trend throughout Euro 2024 where engagement with eFootball would spike on the days when no matches took place.
On days when matches did take place, the number of bets and the average turnover on eFootball increased across all timeslots, with the greatest growth seen during the evening right after matches concluded.
For example, from 10pm to 11pm, average turnover increased by a massive 23% and remained at an elevated level for several hours after.
In terms of the bet types placed, the most popular bet types were Totals (55% of betting volume), Result Three Way (23%) and Next Goal (9%) which was up by more than 20%.
BETER’s eFootball product includes three formats, the fast-paced and spectacular Volta (which lasts six minutes in total) plus the more traditional 2×4 and 2×6 minute formats.
During the period analysed in the report, the 2×4 format remained the most in-demand format with an average turnover up 14.7%, followed by 2×6 which enjoyed 15.2% growth – Volta also enjoyed a 9.4% increase in the number of bets and turnover.
The report supports the shift towards fast betting content that operators are seeing. In addition, players also want to access sports and betting opportunities round the clock, especially when there’s no on-the-pitch action taking place, which products such as BETER’s eFootball provide.
ESportsBattle tournaments set the benchmark for esports betting, offering more than 35,000 events per month across popular disciplines such as eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey, and CS2, with up to 50 markets per event. Live streaming is available 24/7/365 so that bettors can enjoy non-stop action with a 7.5%+ average margin for operators.
George Arabatlian, Head of Account Management at BETER, said:
“This report underscores a significant shift in player behavior: bettors are eager to engage with football-related content, even in the absence of live matches. This is where our 24/7 eFootball product truly shines, providing continuous entertainment and wagering opportunities.
“The data also highlights a growing trend toward fast, dynamic betting experiences, which resolve quickly and keep players engaged.
BETER has become a leader in delivering this type of content, and we are excited to partner with more operators to provide their players with round-the-clock access to our cutting-edge ESportsBattle tournaments.”

BetBuilder allows bettors to create their own unique combo bets within the same esports or eSimulator match, breaking new ground in the esports betting sector. While other BetBuilder-type solutions have previously focused solely on esports, and with significantly limited potential, Oddin.gg is the first to offer a tool that covers both traditional esports and the rapidly growing eSimulators product line—meeting the evolving demands of a new generation of bettors. With the ability to make up to 97 selections across 10 markets in CS2 and 26 selections across 12 markets in eFootball—resulting in hundreds of thousands of possible bet combinations—BetBuilder also opens up a range of betting options that go far beyond what has previously been available.
By integrating BetBuilder, operators can provide an experience that genuinely keeps their bettors engaged throughout each match. The integration process is swift, and for existing Oddin.gg iFrame clients, the update will be seamless, without any major impact on other ongoing betting operations. The extensive combination options encourage deeper involvement from bettors, while Oddin.gg’s existing risk management tools ensure that operators can confidently expand their betting options without compromising control over margins. This adaptability means operators can tailor their offering to cater to a broader audience, whether focusing on traditional esports or eSimulators, allowing them to stand out from the competition.
Marek Suchar, Managing Director and Co-Founder at Oddin.gg, stated:
“We are yet again about to set the industry standards for the years ahead. After numerous attempts by others at creating esports betbuilders that fell short of expectations, it’s time to steer the industry back on track with a solution that makes no compromises. We’ve developed the Oddin.gg BetBuilder to provide a truly comprehensive solution for operators, allowing them to engage bettors in a way that just hasn’t been possible until now. By offering an almost unlimited number of bet combinations across select esports and eSimulators titles—and with more to follow soon—operators can enrich their offering and capture the interest of bettors in a way that sets them apart in the market. I’m delighted we’re launching a solution built based on direct industry feedback, reflecting our clients’ needs and wishes. The tech backbone we’ve created is solid and scalable, allowing BetBuilder to cover more esports titles in the upcoming months, with live options also to follow eventually.”

BLAST & Solihull Council announces major esports event to take place in the UK next year
Solihull Council is pleased to announce a major esports event taking place in Solihull from 27 to 30 March 2025 at bp pulse LIVE.
The 2025 Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season will host its first arena event of the year in Solihull, with thousands of fans expected to attend.
Esports (or electronic sports) is a term used to describe competitive video gaming. It’s different from standard video gaming in that esports is competitive (player-vs-player) and usually has an engaging spectator element to it, like traditional sports. Rocket League is a sport-based video game (also known as football with rocket-powered cars that fly!).
The event – RLCS Major 1 Birmingham – will have national and international significance, welcoming some of the world’s best Rocket League players to Solihull and the wider region. 16 teams from around the world will compete for the first trophy of the RLCS 2025 Season in front of a live audience on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March. Tickets will go on sale via Live Nation from next week.
A few weeks before the main event, members of the public will be invited to take part in an action-packed tournament, the ‘British Esports Cup’ featuring Rocket League. The British Cup tournament, led by the British Esports Federation, will be open to all UK residents aged 13+ and offer a prize pool of £5,000.
A business esports summit (WM Esports Unwrapped) is also planned for the event weekend, which will be a chance for key business and industry leaders to network and identify future growth opportunities.
Councillor Ian Courts, Leader of Solihull Council and Lead Member for Business and the Economy commented: “Esports may be a new concept for many of us, but it’s fast becoming an industry of huge economic significance. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the RLCS Major 1 Birmingham to our borough, in partnership with the British Esports Federation and BLAST.
“It is expected to attract thousands of fans from across the world to the arena, with millions more watching the global broadcast online. The economic benefit to the hospitality and visitor economy in the region is unrivalled with the majority of fans expected to attend the event from out of the area.
“The event will put our borough on the world stage and promote Solihull, the West Midlands and the NEC event campus as a national and international hub for gaming and esports championships.”
Chester King, President of British Esports said: “Hosting the RLCS Major 1 in Birmingham is a landmark moment for UK esports, and we’re thrilled to see another world-class event hosted in Great Britain.
“British Esports is proud to support the UK esports scene with our own Rocket League tournament running alongside the Major, providing a platform for aspiring players across the UK to showcase their talent. This collaboration underlines the strength of the UK’s esports ecosystem and British Esports’ ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for grassroots players to engage with professional esports athletes.”
People visiting the borough for the event are encouraged to check out the Visit Solihull website for information on where to eat, drink and stay in the borough.
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and the UK Government is supporting the organisers of the event with funding from the Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund. This is being used to boost trade and tourism sectors and bring vital footfall to local businesses in the region.
Solihull Council is working in partnership with BLAST, British Esports Federation, NEC Group, West Midlands Growth Company and the University of Warwick.
In 2023, the UK was placed fifth in the world for esports revenue generation. Esports is growing at a rate of 13.8% a year. The video game market is worth an estimated $282 billion and there are approximately 3 billion active gamers worldwide.
