NE Group’s Defender crash-game launches with Betika
NE Group, a leading B2B iGaming software supplier, has announced an exciting new partnership with Kenya’s premier sports betting platform, Betika, to launch its popular crash game, Defender.
Originally introduced in 2022, Defender is a football-themed game that engages players with a unique challenge: they must decide when to cash out before the opposing team scores a goal. This innovative format combines elements of suspense and strategy, mirroring the excitement of live sports.
With this collaboration, Betika’s players across Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and DRC will gain seamless access to the enhanced version of Defender, which was unveiled earlier this year.
Imran Bukhari, CEO at NE Group stated: “Defender continues to be a fan favourite thanks to its football-inspired, fun experience that connects with the inner sports fan. Giving players the power to cash out has shifted the dynamic and given an increased adrenaline hit to the user. Partnering with Betika means we can expand the game’s reach across an important territory for the business. Defender not only adds a new layer of excitement to their offerings but also reflects our commitment to delivering engaging and innovative gaming experiences.”
Peter Stagles, Betika’s Group Chief Product Officer, said: “We are thrilled to integrate NE Group’s Defender into our platform. Football is the number one sport in Africa, and this partnership enhances our already excellent offering. NE Group has cleverly designed a game that will instantly resonate with our football-mad audience, thanks to its fast-paced nature and its ability to place players at the heart of the action. This addition underscores our commitment to providing innovative and engaging content for our players.”
