GAMOMAT grows its Gaming for the Climate initiative with Alexandria Fire collaboration with WeForest
Reading Time: 2 minutes

GAMOMAT, one of the leading independent software developers for slot games, has grown its Gaming for the Climate initiative by adding Alexandria Fire to further its mission of climate action.

Gaming for the Climate is a passion project that launched in 2021 to support global initiatives combating the climate crisis. Alexandria Fire becomes the fourth of GAMOMAT’s titles to join the initiative and will be aligned with the renowned non-profit organisation, WeForest.

As a core driver of the Gaming for the Climate programme, a portion of the revenue from Alexandria Fire will be donated to WeForest to help restore and protect arid afromontane forests. Today’s Alexandria is facing the threat of rising sea levels, losing stretches of coastline each year. WeForest focuses on combating desertification, which endangers both the environment and local communities. Their efforts in Africa to bring back water and reduce CO₂ align with GAMOMAT’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

Alexandria Fire is part of the successful Fire Respins series and unfolds in the Mediterranean port city in Egypt. Alexandria’s seafront is protected by the beacon of the Pharos of Alexandria which was ignited by patroness Isis. Players must join the quest alongside Isis to return the flame to former glory.

Alexandria Fire is available to all Bragg operator partners through Bragg HUB and for social gaming via Whow.

Dietmar Hermjohannes – Founder of GAMOMAT said: “We’re incredibly proud to be growing our Gaming for the Climate initiative. Each year, we’ve enhanced the initiative by adding a game that is thematically linked to global initiatives fighting the climate crisis. This partnership is more than just business: the funds raised will support WeForest’s inspiring mission of ‘Making Earth Cooler’ by reducing CO₂ emissions worldwide. WeForest’s holistic approach has profoundly inspired both myself and our entire team, fueling our passion and commitment to this vital cause.”
