International Game Technology Faces Cybersecurity Breach
International Game Technology (IGT) has become the latest gaming industry firm to fall victim to a cyberattack. The company revealed that an unauthorised third party had gained access to some of its systems, resulting in disruptions to portions of its internal information technology systems and applications.
IGT said it was “communicating with its customers and other stakeholders, as appropriate, and where possible, the company has implemented alternatives for certain operations in accordance with its business continuity plans to mitigate disruptions and continue servicing its customers.”
