From Streaming to Engagement: Inside Livespins with Renee Lansing

Tell us more about your role as Commercial Director at Livespins. What are your main areas of focus?  

As Commercial Director at Livespins, my role is dynamic and spans several key areas focused on driving growth. A primary responsibility is building and maintaining strategic partnerships with casino operators, game studios and streamers. Another key focus is ensuring seamless integration with Evolution OSS (Livespins was acquired by Evolution back in February) for operators who already use Evolution, making it a simple plug-and-play experience without the need for additional integration. I also work to ensure that operators fully understand the potential of this new game type, whether they choose our core product, or a dedicated version tailored to their needs. Given that we are still a growing startup, my role is very hands-on, and I collaborate across multiple teams to ensure we achieve success and drive continuous progress.

 

How is Livespins disrupting the online casino space? 

At Livespins, our core product is essentially creating the Netflix of playable game trailers but for the iGaming industry. We have live streams running across 40 game studio partners, creating an engaging and interactive experience for players. Imagine how often you get stuck watching trailers on Netflix, trying to decide what to watch—now, picture that same experience, but with playable game trailers. If you’re a player and unsure what game to try, you can hop onto Bet with Streamers where our streamers are always playing new, exciting content and every 50 spins we are changing the base game. You can join in at any time and win the same multipliers as the streamer—turning the experience into something much more interactive and rewarding.

 

How does Livespins benefit operators?

Operators get access to a fully customizable product with a dedicated version where they can tailor what games to stream, plug in their own influencers or streamers, and have a live dynamic promotions. With Livespins, promotions are no longer just static banners on a website; instead, we provide operators to have an live interactive promotion stream, with in-game leaderboards, cash drops and races to make promotions far more engaging. If the operator doesn’t have a streamer? No problem, we can arrange to have an exclusive one for them in any language.

Livespins also provides upsides for streamers by providing a unique opportunity to drive more traffic without diverting attention from their existing channels. When streamers collaborate with a casino brand, we provide a platform that lets them multicast the stream across YouTube, Twitch, Kick or Discord, while directly having the stream playable in the casino’s website. Players who see the same stream on these platforms can now join to bet behind the streamer in the operator’s website.

It also builds a lot of trust; if the streamer is winning…say, a 50x multiplier, the player can win the same multiplier in real-time. It removes any doubt about game fairness and creates a more transparent and engaging experience.

Studios also benefit from Livespins as we provide a way for them to track their ROI on current streaming investments, which has historically been a challenge for many studios. By using Livespins, game studios can now track performance across their streaming collaborations and see clear data on how these efforts are performing.

 

Given the disruptive nature of Livespins, does it make it easier or harder to get operator buy-in? What challenges have you faced in this regard? 

Introducing a new product like this involves a significant amount of education, especially when it comes to understanding its capabilities and full potential. We’re not just offering a playable game—there’s a lot more to it so the possibilities for outreach and engagement go far beyond the core game itself.

 

How are you clearing these hurdles? 

To overcome these challenges, we focus heavily on education and communication. For operators who are already live with us, we ensure they fully understand all the possibilities that Livespins offers. And we do this through personalized demos, training sessions or ongoing support. It’s about making sure they see the bigger picture beyond just the core gameplay and recognize how they can leverage Livespins for engagement, acquisition, retention, promotions, and long-term growth.

 

How are you working to educate operators about Livespins and addressing concerns around streaming?  

We’ve found that most questions arise when setting up a dedicated stream for a casino, especially around how they can multicast to platforms like YouTube or other streaming channels, and how they can plug in their own streamers. To address these concerns, we have an incredible team behind us that provides hands-on support at every step of the process, from initial setup all the way through to production. Our team works closely with operators to guide them through the technical aspects of integration, ensuring a seamless experience for both the casino and the streamers. We also make sure operators understand how they can optimize their marketing investments with strategies that have worked for other brands.

 

What makes Livespins such a powerful retention product? 

Livespins is powerful because it offers flexibility for both retention and acquisition. We don’t fit in one box. For retention, it keeps players engaged with live, playable leaderboards, cash drops, giveaways and a mini YouTube-like channel within the casino. For acquisition, operators can collaborate with established streamers or celebrities, creating unique, interactive experiences like playing alongside a celebrity and winning the same multipliers. Livespins allows casinos to track revenues in real time, so they can see the direct impact of their marketing efforts and how well their collaborations are performing. We also work closely with game studios that want to participate in these marketing collaborations, helping facilitate smooth partnerships and ensuring everyone involved benefits from the exposure. In short, Livespins acts as a hub for dynamic collaborations, offering a variety of ways to engage and retain players while driving measurable results.
