Eric Konings Stepping Down as Acting Director of NOGA

Eric Konings, acting director, will be leaving the Dutch Online Gambling Association (NOGA) effective 1/3. Konings has been active in that capacity since July 1, 2024, as successor to Peter-Paul de Goeij. The NOGA board is considering the future and the content of the directorship.
Eric Konings said: “I have enjoyed fulfilling the role of interim director at NOGA during this important period of strategic reorientation. Now that this reorientation is progressing steadily, I have decided not to extend my agreement. I am proud of what we have achieved together and will continue to work for NOGA’s objectives until my last day. For now, I would like to thank the board for the trust they have placed in me.”
Vice-chair Sanna van Doorn said: “We are very grateful to Eric for his efforts over the past 7 years, in the capacity of chairman, policy advisor and interim director. His involvement and expertise in this challenging sector were of great value. Eric played an important role in the establishment of NOGA and in representing the interests of its members over the years. On behalf of the board and our members, I would like to thank him and wish Eric all the best in his future projects and ambitions.”
