Plucky Delivers Superbru Players With Cash League Functionality
Plucky, the leading platform for monetising free-to-play games and modernising pool betting, has partnered with Superbru, the world-leading fantasy and predictor game platform to enable its players choose to play for real cash in private and public leagues.
The partnership kicked off in time for this year’s Six Nations, starting on 31st January. Users will be able to opt-in to public cash leagues initially, before the facility is expanded to offer private cash leagues.
Superbru’s Six Nations game requires players to pick the correct score for each of the 15 games over five matchdays. Points are awarded for predicting the correct result, being within a given margin of the final score, selecting all results correctly, and landing the most accurate picks in relation to others in the league.
With an easily-understood gameplay and always-prominent social interaction within rugby communities, the Six Nations is set to be the ideal platform to launch Plucky’s cash leagues on Superbru, giving fans the chance to earn more than just bragging rights and take their friends and colleagues on for real cash prizes, with registration and deposits all managed seamlessly via the Plucky app.
Going live first with Superbru’s UK and Ireland players, plans are in place following the Six Nations to introduce cash leagues to other tournaments, including NRL and AFL, and in regulated jurisdictions where Plucky aims to be licensed to offer its cash league service as an operator.
Sebastian Lewis, CEO & co-founder at Plucky, said: “For UK and Ireland rugby fans, there’s no doubt that the Six Nations is the pinnacle of the annual rugby calendar, with group chats lighting up with predictions from experts and armchair supporters alike. We’re now offering these communities on Superbru the chance to put their money where their mouth is and take on their mates or the general public for real cash prizes.
“Superbru has become a major success story, with two and a half million players returning time and again to make their picks on various sports and tournaments, and we can’t wait to see how its users react to our cash league offering for the Six Nations and many more tournaments beyond.”
James Hutchison, Commercial Director at Superbru, added: “Superbru players are some of the most committed around, and with Plucky’s cash league integration, we’re delighted to give them a chance to raise the stakes and enjoy the additional tension that makes their Six Nations’ experiences even more exciting. We know that some players run informal cash leagues on Superbru already, and this facility gives them the opportunity to do it in a trusted, safe and regulated manner.
“One of the key factors in our organic growth has been the simplicity of our game proposition. Plucky shares our vision for a gaming environment that puts the picks first, while giving our players the opportunity to take manual sweepstakes into the digital age. There is a quick registration process that allows them to get on with their predictions, mitigates the painful errand of chasing the losers in the pool for your winnings or the risk of the league captain not paying out prizes.”
Plucky, winner of the Innovator of the Year award at the 2024 EGR Operator Awards, is registered under a UKGC operator licence, and will manage all KYC requirements, deposits, payouts, and cash league game mechanics on behalf of Superbru players once they opt in for cash pools.
