SPAYZ.io targets Africa as part of global payments rollout

SPAYZ.io, a leading provider of innovative payment solutions, is rolling out new payment options across Africa. As part of its expansion plans for the region, SPAYZ.io will be attending SIGMA Africa to map out its vision for the region, offering its network of partners and clients an opportunity to hear and discuss the evolving payments landscape in Africa.Â
SPAYZ.io is committed to enhancing financial transactions across the continent, providing seamless and efficient payment methods that cater to the needs of businesses and consumers alike. It is already live in several key markets, including Nigeria (recently launched in 2025), Ghana (MobileMoney), Congo (MobileMoney) and Kenya (MobileMoney), all facilitating pay-in and pay-out transactions. SPAYZ.io will also be expanding to Cameroon with MobileMoney, offering pay-in and pay-out transactions.
Africa is attracting mounting interest from merchants seeking access to some of the region’s fastest growing, consumer-led markets. The adoption of digital payments and transition away from physical cash has sparked domestic demand for online transactions that cater to local payment methods. At the moment, the digital payments market in Africa is projected to reach $236.06 billion in 2025. Should it maintain the same level of growth, total transaction values could reach as much as $611.23 billion by 2029, with a CAGR of 26.85%.Â
With a focus on Africa in 2025, SPAYZ.io’s leading experts will be exhibiting at SiGMA Africa in Cape Town, South Africa, in March 10-12 2025. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Eliza Simon (Head of KAM) and Stanislav Titov (Business Development Manager) to gain valuable insights into the African payment landscape, discuss industry challenges, and explore tailored solutions that drive business growth. It comes following SPAYZ.io’s nomination as emerging markets Payment Solution 2025 for the prestigious SIGMA Africa awards.
“SPAYZ.io is constantly monitoring trends in emerging markets to identify jurisdictions that offer high growth potential,†Eliza, Head of KAM at SPAYZ.io, said. “Africa is a core part of our strategy, and we are actively seeking out new countries and payment integrations so that our partners can tap directly into a burgeoning consumer market.â€
Speaking on the reasons for Africa’s growth, Stanislav, Business Development Manager identified several factors. “Digital adoption is rising, backed by improved infrastructure, new alternative payments methods and a rising, digitally enabled urban consumer. Collectively, these factors are contributing to Africa’s modernisation, resulting in increased demand for online payment options. It’s the reason why Africa is at the top of our agenda, and SiGMA Africa is the first of many events we’ll be taking part in for this year.â€Â
