Danish Gambling Authority Publishes Report on Illegal Gambling

The Danish Gambling Authority has released the annual report describing the authority’s work with illegal gambling. In the 2024 report, you can read more about a new collaboration with the streaming platform Twitch, and the authority’s focus on a betting trend involving the video game currency “Robux”.
Every year, the Danish Gambling Authority publishes a report explaining the rules for when gambling is legal in Denmark, and the report also reviews the initiatives implemented in the past year to combat illegal gambling.
One of the initiatives launched in 2024 is a collaboration between the Danish Gambling Authority and the streaming platform Twitch, which allows the authority to report illegal gambling content on the platform in the same way as it already does today with Apple, Facebook and Google. This will strengthen the Danish Gambling Authority’s work to prevent Danish users from being exposed to illegal content on the platform.
Another initiative launched last year is an inspection of the “Robux” betting phenomenon. “Robux” betting refers to the illegal offering of gambling where the virtual currency Robux from the computer game Roblox is used as either a deposit or prize.
