Danes’ Spending on Gambling Increased in February

Denmark’s gambling regulator Spillemyndigheden has reported an increase in gambling spend for February 2025.
Danes’ gambling spend increased by 0.6% in February compared to the same month last year. The total increase was driven by an increase in the spending on online casino.
While online casino saw a growth in February 2025 compared with February 2024, the statistics show a fall in the spending on betting, gaming machines and land-based casino.
In the monthly statistics, we will also see figures describing the DGA’s helpline StopSpillet and the Register of Self-Excluded Players, ROFUS.
Total statistics on 2024 published
The spending on lotteries in 2024 is included in the new edition of the monthly statistics. It means that the total gambling spend on the Danish gambling market in 2024 sum to DKK 11bn. It is an increase of DKK 581m compared to 2023 corresponding to 5.6% (2024-prices).
