The highly-anticipated second edition of the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) has concluded the first chapter of this year’s adrenaline-charged tournament. Following the electrifying Group Stage that took place over the weekend, the competition is heating up as the road is now set for the Survival Stage, where the remaining teams will have one more chance to prove their ability and advance to the Grand Finals for a chance to claim the lion’s share of the $3 million prize pool. Powerhouse PUBG MOBILE Esports teams such as DRX and Alpha Gaming turned heads with their highly skilled performances during the opening stage of the competition, but it was Alter Ego Ares that claimed the top ranking of the Group Stage with an impressive 121 points.

The Group Stage of the 2025 PMWC delivered three days of high-octane competition, with 2025 PMGO winner Regnum Carya Esports and reigning 2024 PMWC champions Alpha7 Esports pushing hard in a series of intense matches – yet ultimately falling short of a top-eight finish. In the end, Alter Ego Ares emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional consistency, whilst DRX and Weibo Gaming followed closely with standout moments that had fans on the edge of their seats, marking them as teams to watch out for. Meanwhile, teams like 4Thrives Esports defied expectations to break into the top rankings, taking the second spot in their first global PUBG MOBILE Esports tournament. With the Group Stage complete, the road ahead narrows as the remaining teams prepare for the challenge of the Survival Stage, where every match will count.
