Flashscore, the world’s most popular live scores app, has been named as the strategic partner of the Legends Charity Game in Lisbon next week.
The Legends Charity Game is taking place on Monday, September 15, the day before SBC Summit, featuring a stellar cast of former players, including Luis Figo, Kaka and Carles Puyol.
The match between Portugal Legends and World Legends at Sporting’s Estádio José Alvalade has been organised by Sport Global with the aim of raising €1m for charities and serves as a spectacular curtain-raiser for the flagship iGaming conference.
Flashscore’s strategic partnership includes being the official live-score app for the game, meaning the match is featured on the app, along with player information and in-play data. The Portugal legends team will be captained by Figo and includes a host of other star names, including Ricardo Quaresma, Nani, Eliseu, Bruno Alves, Ricardo Carvalho, and Pepe. The event will be hosted annually until at least 2030.
With more than 100 million monthly users, Flashscore is the world’s most popular live scores app and Portugal is among its top 10 markets. More than 2 million Portuguese sports fans – 23.5% of the online population – use Flashscore each month to get real-time updates on their favourite sports, competitions and players. For Flashscore’s audio commentary service, Portugal is the fourth-best performing, with 6.4m unique audio plays in the past year.
Pavel Krbec, CEO of Flashscore parent company Livesport, said: “Our company has a proud history of supporting charitable initiatives through the Livesport Foundation and we are proud to be involved with the Lisbon Charity Game.
“We are also thrilled that our technology that is enjoyed by millions of sports fans around the world will be used to enhance the match experience for those at the game and those who will follow the action through our app and websites.
“Portugal is among our top 10 markets, with more than 2 million monthly users enjoying Flashscore. Our partnership with the Legends Charity Game is a natural fit as we continue to strengthen our position in this market of sports lovers.”
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of Sport Global, said: “Flashscore are the perfect partners for the Legends Charity Game. With the official livescore app they will provide football fans in the Jose Alvalade stadium and across the globe an unrivalled matchday experience.
