As the Bitcoin price is going up, so is the interest for delegates that would like to hear more about cryptocurrencies during gaming events around the world. Thus, it is their honor to announce the next speaker who will join their first exclusive cryptocurrency panel in the Innovation Talk Series.

Eventually, Max’s passion for Bitcoin drove him to co-found a Kiev-based software development studio and to found the Bitcoin Foundation Ukraine and Satoshi Square Kiev. Max has also worked for one of the biggest Bitcoin Cloud mining platforms prior to becoming Product manager and later Chief Operating Officer at Cubits.
Today Cubits.com is a leading Bitcoin Payment provider in Europe and a well known platform where customers can Buy and Sell bitcoin using classical financial instruments.
Moving to a different vertical and without leaving Max’s origin, we have some great news about Ukraine.
This year Ukraine’s government has promised to start earning increased revenue from legal gambling starting with 2018. The news was highly shared since in April, Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance published the full text of a letter to International Monetary Fund boss Christine Lagarde, detailing the country’s plans to reform its economy in order to qualify for $17.5b in financial assistance.
The letter, which was signed by the country’s president, prime minister, finance minister and national bank president (although the latter abruptly quit on Monday), vowed to press ahead with plans to legalize gambling in the Ukraine, “which will contribute additional revenue to the budget no later than 2018.”
In 2015, Ukraine introduced draft legislation that would have authorized land-based casinos, sports betting, a new national lottery and online gambling sites. The following year, the government suggested its gambling market could generate revenue of $1.5b per year, but gambling operators balked at the price of proposed license fees and the tax rates, and the legislation went nowhere.
Last November, a group of local industry stakeholders formed the Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association to help the government craft legislation that would take ‘international standards and practices” into account.
The “Growth of regulated markets in the Eastern European region” panel is scheduled to be held between 11:00 – 12:00 (Budapest Local Time) on the 19th of September (Day 1) during the second edition of the Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference Budapest. (you can view the full agenda here).
“Ukraine’s regulation on the horizon, the plans to regulating the market by European guidelines” is the tile of Ms. Iryna Sergienko’s presentation and it will serve the most vital information which revolves around the opportunities Ukraine can bring for investors and operators.
Iryna Sergienko (CEO at Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association)
Iryna is the CEO of the Ukrainian Gaming Industry Association since August 2016 and also a Board Member of the All-Ukrainian Union for bookmaking development from 2014

Author (co-author, editor) publication “Legal regulation of gambling business. European experience. Practices in post-soviet countries. Perspectives for Ukraine” (Eng, Ukr. 2015)
