Sisal Entertainment hooks up with Global Daily Fantasy Sports Network

Global Daily Fantasy Sports Inc. (TSX-V: DFS) finds immense pleasure in announcing the hooking up of Sisal Entertainment S.p.a. (Sisal) with Global’s Italian facing Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Network.

Sisal has to its credit business experience of over 70 years and over 14 million customers in Italy to its advantage. Sisal functions in the payment and services market, and gaming and betting market with a full spectrum of products in retail and online channels.

Sisal owns a network of over 45,000 points of sale. And it is one of the 5 preponderant operators in the Italian online sports betting market.

Global’s Italian facing DFS network provides the opportunity for diverse Italian gaming operators to merge the network and pool their user databases together to deliver much larger prize pool offerings and increase the contest fill-rate.

With Sisal joining, the Italian DFS network now has enabled the access to an additional registered user database totalling over 44 million players and anticipates to expand as more operators join the network. This user base provides the company with an opportunity to introduce DFS through its B2B partners to an existing betting audience.

In 2017, Italy generated €1.34B in online gambling revenues, a 31% increase from 2016 with online sports betting representing approximately €555M, or 41% of the total, an increase of 59% from 2016.
