Robert Andersson is set to become the new CEO of Nordic Leisure, which manages companies in the gaming sector. Robert is the former CEO of Optimizer Invest-owned Catena Media.
Robert will replace Peter Åström, who will work with business development.
Robert will replace Peter Åström, who will work with business development and the position of the new CEO of Nordic Leisure, will start on April 16th.
The naming comes in a time in which the work at NLAB [Nordic Leisure] has had a major technical focus, and the company is now facing a period of upcoming product launches. It follows that the group is in need of an organization that is more clearly targeted at sales and marketing. The Board has found Robert Andersson, who has his entire business background in digital business, very well suited to take the Group to the next level, which largely aims to commercialize the technology they now have.
“Our work in NLAB has been a major technical focus in recent years, and we are now facing a period of upcoming product launches. As a result, the Group is in need of an organization that is more focused on sales and marketing,” explains NLAB’ s chairman of the board, Niklas Braathen.
Robert Andersson also takes over the role of CEO of the Lifland Gaming Group subsidiary. He thus has direct operational responsibility for the Group’s business area “Net Games”.
When asked by European Gaming about his future role at Nordic Gaming, Robert replied that:”I am very excited to have been given the chance and trust to take Nordic leisure to the next level. It will be a fantastic journey ahead“.
He has a background as an advertiser and has been the CEO of the River Agency, which is part of the Intellecta publicly traded agency network. Robert has also been business development director for game developer Dice and global director of mobile solutions at the Finnish company Sulake, active in social media. He is retrieved from the affiliate and gaming company Catena Media, where he has been CEO since 2015. Catena Media is owned by the Optimizer Invest, which is profiles in gaming and finance.
