Holland Casino opens a temporary facility

Holland Casino is about to open a temporary facility at the so-called keukenboulevard shopping area in Sontplein (Gronigen).

Erwin van Lambaart, Holland Casino director made the announcement during a press conference, stating that a semi-permanent building will be set up in a field on Europaweg.

Picking a temporary location was a very careful process, some of the key factors were accessibility, safety and the development plan of the local municipality. However, a building permit has not yet been granted and local residents and businesses could object to the plans.

“I want to thank our regular guests and the Groningers for their understanding and support in the past period and look forward to welcoming them at the end of this year at the Sontplein. This is a special moment because it is 30 years ago that we opened our doors for the first time for our guests in Groningen,” said Erwin Lambaart.

“I would like to express my appreciation for the great dedication and flexibility of our employees in Groningen who have worked at various locations during the past period, spread throughout the country, in anticipation of our new location. I am pleased that together with the municipality we have finally solved this complex puzzle and we can get back to work in this beautiful city.”
