Lottoland chooses MuchBetter gaming wallet for user experience, scalability and global footprint

MuchBetter, the iGaming payments company, today announced its immediate availability to Lottoland players worldwide. Lottoland is the world’s leading online lotto operator, and enables players to bet on the world’s biggest lotteries, with the opportunity to win all the same prizes – including the jackpot. Lottoland also offers a wide range of casino, instant win and scratchcard games.
By adding MuchBetter as a new payment option, Lottoland will diversify the payments services available to its players and help it reach new players/regions. As MuchBetter’s first lottery customer, this deal is also an expansion into a new market for the payment company. Lottoland was looking for a mobile first wallet solution to give their players a convenient way to receive winnings, and chose MuchBetter as an up-and-coming alternative to traditional e-wallets. It also needed a solution which could perform well at scale, such is the high volume of transactions in the lottery industry, and found this in the MuchBetter platform which was built to handle precisely this kind of challenge.
MuchBetter’s integration with mobile and its emphasis on providing a low-touch user experience was also a key consideration, as was its approach to transaction fees. Unlike other e-wallets, MuchBetter does not charge per transaction. Instead, it charges operators on a net-deposit basis every month according to the monetary value of each player.
“The lottery is among the oldest forms of gambling in the world, but brands like Lottoland have revolutionised the experience to meet the needs and wants of today’s players, who expect more,” said MuchBetter co-founder, Jens Bader. “MuchBetter is a perfect fit for the Lottoland service and its players. Our platform provides the best user experience and, having been established in the mobile/cloud era, we have no doubt in our ability to scale up to meet tremendous demand.”
“Lottoland is growing extremely quickly and, as we expand into new regions, it’s an important part of our strategy to diversify our payment services to meet the needs of new players and ensure we have the very best options on the market today,” said Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell. “User experience is everything to Lottoland, and an important differentiator with the rest of the market, so we needed a payment solution which shared our priorities. In MuchBetter we have a solution that provides a supreme user experience, while also doing so at scale.”
