Today, December 18th, the District of Columbia is expected to pass a bill to allow legal sports betting in the DC area. This bill includes a number of important new components not seen in other states’ legislation, that will significantly impact operators, regulators and players.

  • Unique geolocation requirements based on the geography of the DC area
  • Prohibition of wagering on federal lands or federally administered parks
