Playtech launches expanded Bingo portfolio in Italy
Playtech, the world’s leading omni-channel gaming company, today announces the launch of an expanded Playtech Bingo platform in Italy, available through the Sisal, Snai and William Hill brands.
Italian regulators have introduced an updated protocol, called PBAD3 protocol, which allows operators to offer online Bingo variants. Launching on the 26th February, Playtech is the first in the industry to make the most of this updated protocol to offer an expanded Bingo portfolio. Playtech can now deliver these new Bingo variants that can be specifically addressed at Italian players, while also replicating its cutting-edge international offering for the Italian audience.
The opportunity for licensees to offer online Bingo variations was the last missing piece of the Italian regulatory framework. Previously, protocol prevented operators from offering the same range and flexibility of gaming products in Italy that can be found in other markets.
The updated Bingo offering includes the addition of the two-line prize and 75 ball UK bingo, as well as other new variants that are compliant with PBAD3. Playtech will also be able to roll out additional features on a broader variety of platforms, including HMTL5 desktop, mobile and tablet clients as well as iOS and Android native apps.
Angus Nisbet, Managing Director of Digital Bingo at Playtech, said: “Becoming the first platform in Italy to make the most of the updated protocol is a significant moment in developing our offering in one of our key markets. The speed with which we have been able to expand our platform and products in Italy reflects our commitment to growing and building our offering in new and existing regulated markets.”
