Welcoming Kirsten Miller to the ASA Council

ASA Chairman, Lord David Currie, has announced the appointment of Kirsten Miller to the ASA Council.
Our Council is made up of 13 members of whom two-thirds are independent of industry and a third have recent or current knowledge of the advertising or media sector. The members collectively offer a broad range of skills, experiences and perspectives from a cross section of society, including young people, families, charities and consumer groups.
Kirsten has over 17 years’ experience in digital media, having begun her career at Advertising.com, one of the world’s first algorithmic based digital ad networks. Most recently, Kirsten spent seven years at Group M agency Maxus, where, as a member of the leadership team, she established the agency’s first technology team.
Kirsten’s appointment, with effect from the start of May, will see her act as an industry member of the Council judging ads across non-broadcast media only, bringing to the Council table the benefit of her extensive experience in the business of non-broadcast digital media.
Kirsten said: “I’m very much looking forward to joining the ASA Council and contributing to its important work. Regulating the dynamic and fast-moving world of advertising is a unique responsibility, and I’m excited to be coming on board at a time when the ASA is beginning to deliver its new five year strategy with a view to having more impact online.â€
David Currie, Chairman of the Advertising Standards Authority, said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Kirsten to the ASA Council. With her expert background in digital media, her skills and experience will strengthen further our regulation of the evolving online landscape.â€
