YGAM welcome new Head of Marketing and Communications

YGAM, the UK charity which works to inform, educate and safeguard young people against problematic gambling and social gaming, and which has established a reputation as being a progressive organisation that the industry can work with, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Carly Boyt as Head of Marketing and Communications. Carly has worked in senior marketing and communications roles for over a decade across a variety of sectors including tourism, fashion, retail and most recently in the third sector, where she led the communications for Look Good Feel Better, the national charity that helps women with cancer regain their confidence. Her role at YGAM is to build, develop and implement the organisation’s marketing and communications across all channels, help drive the highly successful YGAM Workshops and Student and University Engagement Programme as well as supporting partnerships with commercial organisations operating in the gaming and gambling space.
Heralding the appointment, YGAM Chief Executive, Lee Willows commented: “After four years with an absolute focus on impact, delivery and evaluation we are now starting to invest in key strategic roles at YGAM to help us take flight in 2019/20 as we work towards working with one million young people. Carly’s appointment is an example of this investment and will be critical in helping us create a step-change to raise awareness among professionals of our social purpose as well as developing the positive and productive relationships we already enjoy with the industry and adding to our list of supporters who recognise the very practical work that we undertake with young people in the field.”
Looking ahead to the challenges presented by her new role, Carly Boyt said: “There’s no doubt that I have joined the YGAM team at an exciting time, as we seek to further expand the number of young people we reach. I’m looking forward to developing and working on unique projects and campaigns, in support of YGAM’s growth and strategic plans.”
