Scout Gaming enters into a framework agreement with Eurovision Sport, a division of the European Broadcasting Union
Scout Gaming has entered into a framework agreement with Eurovision Sport, a division of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the world’s leading alliance of public service media. A first targeted partner will gain access to the platform and is expected to launch during fourth quarter 2019.
The agreement stipulates that Scout Gaming will provide platform licenses to Eurovision Sport, its partners and EBU Members. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the world’s leading alliance of Public Service Media (PSM). They have 116 member organizations in 56 countries and have an additional 34 Associates in Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas. Their Members operate over 2,000 television, radio and online channels and services, and offer a wealth of content across other platforms.
The agreement is expected to have some impact on Scout Gaming’s 2019 revenues but has the potential to have a significant effect on its revenues in future years depending on the pace of the uptake within EBU Members and partners.
“Scout Gaming’s ambition has from the start been to partner with tier one operators and media houses, particularly those that share our appetite for innovation within the sports area. EBU is an ideal partner – they are extremely passionate about providing and coordinating high quality content to its member’s audience. The agreement clearly demonstrates the level of satisfaction among our current media clients.
I’m proud to be delivering to an organization of the magnitude as EBU, we look forward to helping them and their members to develop and innovate their sports content in the coming years.”, comments Scout Gaming’s CEO, Andreas Ternstrom.
