IAGR Wants To Spark Regulatory Innovation

The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) is calling for speakers for its 2020 Annual Conference to be held in Boston, Massachusetts during the week of 20 to 25 September 2020.
Speaking at IAGR2020 is your opportunity to extend your reach and impact and provoke thinking and debate. To challenge and inspire delegates towards bold innovation in regulatory practice. To excite conversation, a contest of ideas and influence policy makers, regulatory leaders and industry stakeholders towards more efficient and effective gambling regulation to underpin secure, vibrant, sustainable, safe and responsible industry.
IAGR2020 stands apart from the increasingly crowded annual calendar of gambling conferences because it’s the representative body for gambling regulators and provides a voice and mechanism to help inform and shape regulatory policy and practice.
IAGR President Paul Newson said, ‘IAGR2020 themed Disrupting the Regulator, is focused on sparking innovation in regulatory practice.’
‘Rigidity and risk aversion in public policy and regulatory frameworks can stifle innovation and dampen associated economic and social benefits. Inertia in regulatory policy and practice undermines industry sustainability and is increasingly inconsistent with escalating consumer expectations.
‘IAGR2020 is about introducing and exploring the possibility of harnessing technology and introducing new ways of working for the betterment of the regulatory craft and fostering secure, vibrant, innovative, safe and responsible industry.’
We are interested in speakers exploring a range of topics through an innovation and disruption lens including but not limited to:
·    Regulatory applications for artificial intelligence, big data and biometrics
·    RegTech monitoring, reporting & solutions
·    Regulatory disruption case studies
·    AI enhancing risk-based supervision & player protection
·    Regulatory sandboxes
Interested speakers should obtain the call for speakers pack at IAGR’s website, and review and provide a submission by 29 February 2020. IAGR will notify selected speakers by 29 March 2020.
