SIS chooses Phenix to optimise live content streaming
SIS (Sports Information Services), the leading multi-channel supplier of 24/7 betting services, has secured a new partnership with global real-time video solutions provider Phenix to help optimise its streaming services.
The deal will enable SIS’s streaming platform, SIS Stream to deliver industry leading, sub-half second latency in the distribution of live content for products including its 24/7 Live Betting Channels, World Greyhound Tote Pool and its Competitive Gaming Channel, by using Phenix’s combination of industry standard WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication)and proprietary and patent-pending technology.
The new ultra-fast streaming technology will further improve the integrity of SIS’s live pictures by minimising the delay in delivering streams of live sporting events to its operator partners globally.
Paul Witten, Product Director at SIS, said: “It’s crucial that we minimise the latency of live events to a bettor’s screen as much as possible, in order to optimise their betting experience.
“Partnering with Phenix is key in helping us deliver real-time streaming to our operator partners, and further demonstrates our reputation for providing top quality live pictures to operators globally.”
Roy Reichbach, CEO of Phenix, said: “SIS’s vision and openness to innovation will enhance their offer to bookmakers, providing them with real-time streaming and synchronised playback. The combined solution provides punters with an improved betting experience and increased operator revenues.”
