The police in Taman Kinrara, Puchong in Malaysia has busted an online gambling syndicate that specialised in mobile betting and arrested eight men.
Police confiscated four tablets and money worth RM228 during the raid that was launched after days of close surveillance.
Acting Serdang OCPD Supt Mohd Rosdi Daud said the group utilised mobile phones and tablets which enabled them to stay mobile and evade authorities.
“However, we were one step ahead and managed to track them.
Those suspects, aged between 40 and 50, are being investigated under Section 4b(a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.”
