Poland Gives 4% of the Gambling Tax Amount to NGOs

Piotr Gliński, the Deputy Prime Minister and Culture Minister of Poland, has revealed that 4% of the gambling tax, nearly PLN 40 mln (EUR 9.4 mln), has been given to non-governmental organisations in Poland for the past year and a half.
Gliński, who attended the Third Forum of Associations from the Low Beskids in Iwonicz Zdrój, in southeastern Poland, said that the solution has been introduced by the government in Poland for the first time and in many countries, such concept has not been applied.
Gliński also added that thanks to these decisions, funds were created to promote civil society, culture and sport.
