Play’n GO Return to Egypt With New Slot Ankh of Anubis

The latest Play’n GO slot title was released today; the Egyptian themed Ankh of Anubis.
Based around Egyptian mythology the game focuses on the god of death, Anubis, in an alternate timeline where he ruled over the ancient Egyptian world for centuries, creating a kingdom of great technological advancement and prosperity.
The action takes place on a diamond-shaped 3-4-4-4-3 grid, only the second diamond grid slot that the company have produced (after Mermaid’s Diamond), and it features over 700 payways rather than paylines.
The slot specialists have seen great success with Egyptian themed games over the years including the hit title Legacy of Egypt and more recent games such as last month’s Doom of Egypt. CEO Johan Törnqvist spoke about the need to be creative with these kinds of games:
“Egyptian themed slots are very popular, and we are always coming up with new ideas, but the most important thing is not to keep releasing the same game over and over again.
Each time we create a game with a theme we have used before we ensure that we improve by adding something new or upgrading what was done before.
Ankh of Anubis is a perfect example; we switched the focus of the game, used a new format for the grid and came up with a creative free spin feature, and players are going to enjoy seeing their favourite theme done in a new way.”
Ankh of Anubis is available to play online today.
