Swedish Gaming Authorities Impose Fine of €9745 on Betway

The Swedish gaming authorities have imposed a reprimand and penalty fee on Betway for unauthorised bonus offers.
Betway infringed on a rule that states that gaming companies with a Swedish licence may only offer a bonus at the first gaming opportunity.
Betway used a marketing campaign of 200% match bonus and players have been able to take advantage of a bonus more than once, said a statement from the Swedish Gaming Inspectorate.
There were, however, “mitigating circumstances,” notably that the violation took place over a short period of time and Betway took immediate corrective measures. A sanction fee of €9745 was imposed.
