iGaming Cloud chooses MuchBetter as new payment option to reduce fraud and increase revenues
Payment option now accepted by selected iGaming Cloud brands
MuchBetter, the iGaming payments company, today announced a new partnership with iGaming Cloud (iGC), part of the Gaming Innovation Group and Payments Specialist Devcode. By choosing to offer MuchBetter as a preferred payment option across selected online sports betting, casino and skills game platforms, iGC expects to enhance fraud protection and increase commercial revenues â as well as being an early adopter of a new disruptive force in iGaming payments.
Available on Android and iOS now, MuchBetter allows users to make online, offline and contactless payments via their smartphone, pre-paid card or even wearable device. Funds can be transferred and received in real-time and the service was developed to meet the specific needs of modern gaming operators. MuchBetterâs unique commercial model eliminates individual transfer fees. Instead, fees are aligned to the individual net deposit value of the player. This was a vital factor in iGCâs decision to offer MuchBetter as a preferred payment option, as was its approach to fraud reduction. MuchBetter naturally eliminates many known fraud patterns, through a combination of the applicationâs design, device authentication (including biometric authentication) and dynamic session tokens. MuchBetter also authenticates account holders, beyond financial/payment information, and makes such additional data available to operators. This means that gaming operators have end-to-end control of their payment flow, and better understand the quality and history of the accounts they transact with. This increases trust and reduces fraud rates.
The MuchBetter payment service is technically delivered through Devcodeâs PaymentIQ platform and will be rolled out by iGC brands in selected countries immediately. Devcodeâs decision to make Muchbetter part of their PaymentIQ suite of payments has been instrumental in the fast delivery of the new payments service to iGC. In the future, MuchBetter may be adopted by other brands operated by the Gaming Innovation Group.
âAltruistic is not a word you hear often in the gaming industry, but we hope to offer a service that changes iGaming payments for the better and forever,â said MuchBetter co-founder, Jens Bader. âValued partnerships with leading gaming organisations like iGaming Cloud and Devcode will be vital in making this happen, and weâre confident that our solution directly addresses many of the biggest pain points in the market. Fraud is a perennial issue in gaming and iGaming operators will always seek new ways of increasing commercial revenues. We help with both, by flipping the traditional model of transfer fees on its head and by knowing our account holders better. Unlike cards which are linked back to accounts, electronic payment intermediaries have always been something of a blackhole of user information, thus ripe for abuse from fraudsters and cybercriminals. Not MuchBetter. We paint a more complete picture of every account holder, so that gaming operators know exactly who theyâre paying out to â so that they only pay out to the accounts they trust.â
âFirst and foremost, we chose to partner with MuchBetter because we believe in the people behind the business,â said Ian Bradbury Head of payments at iGaming Cloud. âWe trust in their extensive experience in the market and in their ability to deliver on their promises. Working with the team has been an engaging and collaborative process from start to finish, and itâs exciting to be at the forefront of a new wave in iGaming payments technology. Iâm confident that all the brands under iGaming Cloud will see significant financial and operational benefits from accepting MuchBetter payments, especially if it does take off in the way we know it can.â

ECA and AGEM applaud creation of Association Assembly at ICE Barcelona
The news that Januaryâs ICE Barcelona will include a major new feature dedicated to global gamingâs most influential trade associations has been welcomed by organisations in Europe and abroad.
Making full use of the additional space at the Gran Via Fira de Barcelona, the first ICE Association Assembly has been created to enable trade bodies to promote their values and create new opportunities for the gaming community across every sector and geography, including both the Brussels-based European Casino Association (ECA) and the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the global trade association for gaming equipment suppliers with its primary headquarters in Las Vegas.
Erwin Van Lambaart, Chair of the ECA confirmed: âOur members are already planning their week in Barcelona and they will be at this historic edition of ICE in great numbers. ICE is a pivotal event for the global gaming community and having a show floor feature which will enable us to engage directly with all sectors is a unique opportunity.
“Traditionally, our association’s involvement at ICE and its Conference program has primarily centred around networking and product development orientationâconnecting with our members, regulators, suppliers, and fellow trade bodies. However, ICE 2025 marks a significant milestone. For the first time, the ECA will have the chance to fully interface with the global industry supply chain in its entirety. We are looking forward to this unique opportunity to articulate our vision for the future to a diverse and comprehensive audience, where innovation, responsibility and significant partnerships for guest and customer centricity will have centre stage.”
Daron Dorsey, CEO of AGEM added: âWe represent the interests of our gaming suppliers whose well-known brands are global in reach, so to be given the opportunity to explain our agenda and engage with what is a truly international audience of association colleagues on the ICE show floor is invaluable.â
Januaryâs editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate will occupy 120,000sqm of space compared to the 100,00sqm at ICE 2024. In a major endorsement of the opportunities offered by the relocation to Barcelona 72% of the 25 biggest exhibitors will have an increased stand presence at ICE 2025.
