Will sun rise on the IR Implementation bill in Japan – “The land of the rising Sun”?

Japan’s IR Implementation bill to face hurdles owing to a party split. Japan’s IR bill might encounter hindrances as the opinions within the Komeito party are not so in sync and remain diverged and it is most likely that some politicians might vote against it. With the nearing of the execution of the IR bill, the Integrated resorts seem to materialise in Japan. Though the divisions within the Komeito party might not be a so pleasing news for the industry in Japan – the Land of the Rising Sun owing to some politicians chances to vote against the bill.
Asserting to focus on gambling anti-addiction measures in a televised debate between the Policy Chiefs of the seven largest parties, Komeito’s own Noritoshi Ishida, stated that he would opt for a more gradual approach on enacting the IR Implementation Bill.
However, there are some concerns that the NKP politicians may vote against the project as it was in the history of 2016, this time it would be even worse as legislation has been pushed by the government itself.
Even as Komeito members have raised some eyebrows regarding the future of the bill, Japan is determined that the Liberal Democratic Party, in addition to conservative opposition parties, will manage to gather the necessary votes to pass the bill, irrespective of how the NKP votes.
